As we made the sea crossing from the Falklands to South Georgia we saw thousands of Antarctic Prions. The low soft light one evening provided the perfect opportunity to study the birds for this painting. The dark W wing patterns and the light shining through the flight feathers gives wonderful contrast to set these birds of against the backlit water.
